ok SOOOOO....

final details;

if you are doing the show, please email me ASAP at nicholasmrazzano@gmail.com even if you think youve spoken to me and got a definite answer to me, PLEASE send one here. Name, phone number, number of pieces, and whether im transporting them out or not.

heres the scoop; the show is on july 23rd, friday night starting at 7pm. there will be concessions at the show. the hanging of the show will be handled by brian and myself, so that means on the 19th of july if i DO NOT HAVE YOUR WORK or it is not en route to the venue IT WILL NOT BE IN THE SHOW. the only hold up that i am expecting is a possible movie shoot at the gallery on the 19th and 20th, in which case i still need all the work by the 19th, but will be hanging the 21st and 22nd at SIX AM. so please, be specific when you email me as to whether you will be transporting or not.

pieces should be however you want them to be shown. the gallery is known to sell so be prepared to kiss your work goodbye at the occasion. also, id really like everyone to make their own tags for the pieces, however they want them to be presented. prices please keep to yourself until you are asked about them. as much of a plus as it would be, its not what the sole purpose of the show is about; this is an all long island show being held in brooklyn, so make it count.

the show is in greenpoint, the address is not infront of me but its on mcguinness blvd off of the bqe and its towards the end of the block on the side of the bridge. easy to find. im half retarded and ive been there a few times.

thanks a lot guys.

Introduction

A few months ago Brian Kaminski wanted to throw an art show ready for the summer time. He had called me for input and I ran on a tangent for twenty minutes on where shows went wrong in the past, where they went right, and how he should do it. It fell silent for a while as we both found ourselves busy and defeated by the lack of space on LI that would be minimally inexpensive. After a recent string of art shows at the Greenpoint Gallery in Greenpoint, BKLYN I found myself talking to the owner of the gallery, both of us after a few drinks, about doing a show. As of yesterday, May 18th, after hearing mine and Brians ideas we came to an agreement on a date for the show.

On July 23rd in Brooklyn, NY, The Greenpoint Gallery will be holding the first annual....uh....ah, fuck, there are going to be a whole bunch of artists from all over the Nassau/Suffolk area showcasing their talents and creations, Jaylord on the ones and twos spinning a whoooole bunch of hip hop, hardcore, and more than likely 4 minute mile start to finish in its entirety, Danielle Brando of Mr. Beerys/Road Rummers/what the fuck happened to my pants, wallet, shoes, car, and favorite DIGNITY/fame (or infamy, depending on how you want to look at it) running the concession stand, and a collaboration corner lined with some sweet paper, open to any and all attendees to hang out and draw on.

The best thing you can do right now is just keep an eye on the blog for updates; The definates areas follows:

-7pm til whenever
-keep it classy (guys collards and ties, girls dressy attire)
-artists will have to pay a small fee per piece entered (5 bucks maximum with a two piece minimum)
-all submissions will be taken care of as soon as possible, the list of confirmed artists is already at about a dozen, with about 15 still left to confirm or ask in the first place.
-pieces must be recieved by brian or myself by july 10th. out of towners, ship by the 6th of july.
-show must be taken down 3 days after the opening, so keep an open schedule if you have a large piece submitted because you will be responsible for that. this is the gallery being specific, so please respect this rule.
-OPEN MEDIUM; sculpture, photography, painting, illustration, drawing, installation, etc. so dont be afraid to go all out.

keep an open mind and get crackin!

thanks, this is going to be big.
